This series is soft pastel on paper exploring the relationship between an ethereal positive and negative space in a carefully constructed combination of technical rigidity and freedom. The name implies that the negative space around the image is as important as the positive image and the interaction of the two is dynamic with textures and subtle overlay of color or value.
