In the series Sticks & Stones, Cheryle utilizes irregular, linear elements, marching or dancing rhythmically across the picture plane, sometimes breaking into a chaotic, avalanche against the serenity of a tranquil backdrop. The contrast of the energy of the linear pattern against form suggests a dialogue between movement and stillness.
